Rep. Rodney Pierce Honors Gaston Cadets on the House Floor
Representative Rodney D. Pierce recognized Gaston Fire & Rescue's cadets on the North Carolina House floor on September 18, congratulating them on taking both first and second place in the 2026 North Carolina Association of Rescue & EMS Junior Technical Rescue Challenge.
Gaston competed with two teams on September 12. The Red Team earned first place, and the Blue Team finished second. The challenge tested navigation, rope rescue, anchors, cribbing, and mechanical advantage systems.
Pierce shared a video of his remarks with his public congratulations to the cadets. Gaston Fire & Rescue thanks him for recognizing the teams and their work.
