Member-app messaging supports department work. Treat every member with respect and keep messages appropriate for a volunteer public-safety organization.
Do not post harassment, threats, discriminatory or sexually explicit content, spam, illegal material, private information without authorization, or content that interferes with department operations. Automated safeguards may stop clearly prohibited material before it is posted.
Press and hold a message in the iOS app to report it. Open a direct message's details to block that member. Blocking prevents direct messaging and removes the member from your message picker. Official department announcements remain available.
Authorized department moderators review reports. We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action within 48 hours. Actions may include removing content, restricting messaging access, department discipline, or referral to law enforcement when safety requires it.
